Snapshots: Puerto Rico

I visited Puerto Rico a while ago and really enjoyed it. The trip is easy, the people kind, and the island beautiful. Make sure and visit Old San Juan and make time for a day trip to Culebra and see the famous Flamingo Beach. A few snaps of the trip below.

Stunning teal waters of Culebra. Pale mermaid available for special appearances.
Fantastic snorkeling around Culebra. I would suggest this tour company.
We were lucky enough to visit during the Festivals de San Sebastian. You should certainly plan your visit around these if you can! Really fun food and dancing in the streets (pictured above) and a great way to see and hear some local music.
Even on a cloudy day the colors of Old San Juan are stunning! Be sure to talk a walk around the town and grab some pictures of the colorful stucco buildings.
I’m always a huge fan of cobblestone streets and Old San Juan does not disappoint with its blue brick streets.
If you do one touristy thing, make it this one. Go to the central square in Old San Juan, find this bird man and pay him $20 to get a bevy of photos to choose from.
The most fun way to get to Old San Juan is by bike. Grab one from your hotel (I stayed at the Condado Vanderbilt Hotel) and bike the short way to the old town center.
All smiles biking into Old San Juan

A bit stormy but still beautiful on a run to Old San Juan
